The subtlety of the picture brings a sense of calm conscience to the mind. It's like you'll enter another world through the gate, even though you can clearly see through it and the lush background that surrounds the area. I enjoy the wooden fencing behind the gate as it brings a rustic feel to complete the atmosphere.

The gate is amazing work in itself. The design on the lower section commands attention with its symmetrical pattern. With that said, I would have liked the focus on that more. This would make a great Diptych, with emphasis on that design. My only other suggestion would be to frame it in the middle more, that way you can see the entire structure.
